my History
I originate from Grand Junction, MI. I attended elementary through high school at Bloomingdale Public Schools. I was a three sport athlete (Football, Basketball, Baseball). I earned several awards for recognition of my sport performance (3 Coaches Awards, 1 MVP Award, 1 Most Improved Player Award, First Team All-Conference Football - QB, and First Team All-Conference Football - DB).
I headed north for my college education to Northern Michigan University (NMU) in Marquette, MI. I double majored in History Secondary Education and Physical Education. I also had the opportunity to play for the NMU Football Team as a quarterback. I earned recognition for both on and off the field performances (Student Teacher of the Year Award, 2 Most Inspirational Player Awards, and 2 Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year Awards). I then was given the opportunity to coach as a Student Assistant for the NMU Football Team. I was an Assistant QB's and WR's Coach.
Once I graduated I headed to Ironwood, MI to become a Physical Education Teacher. I taught 3-12 grade students for three years and also coached. I coached as the JV Head Football Coach / Varsity Assistant and Head Junior High Boys Basketball Coach.
I decided to move back to Kalamazoo, MI to attend Western Michigan University (WMU) Graduate School. I have completed two Master Degrees (Coaching and Sport Performance AND Sport Management). I am currently working at WMU as a Graduate Assistant for the Human Performance and Health Education Program. I also am currently coaching for Kalamazoo United as the Varsity Defensive Coordinator and QB/DB Coach.
I am anticipating graduating in May 2016 with both Masters. I will be seeking employment for an organization with like-minded goals and objectives and promotes a positive culture.
